Inspired from many 'Slick' Films

A Twin for a Twin has been my major fic project for over a year now.

I was eager to write it in the Transformers Movie fandom of ffnet as they were much more welcoming of OCs than other fandoms around. If I have to say their fandom is tolerent, heck, I'd say it's a good place to start small. Most of the authors there grow than get kicked in the guts with all the flamers from other 'large' fandoms such as Naruto, Bleach, Harry Potter... you name it. It's really sad sometimes for those whose English is not their language and they get flamed for all the grammar and punctuation.

Seeing the many repeated stories over and over again, it kind of struck me I had to try the not so obvious. So what did I go with? A story that's an Adventure, thriller, and crime theme. Not the easiest to make and I wanted it sound more real life-like. I mean, some sort of fiction just have to have some real-life logic right?

Now, the main stuff. What films inspired me to write this fic?

Here's a few:

Ocean's 11 (2003), Ocean's 12 (2005), Ocean's 13 (2007)

"Are you in or out?" & "Revenge is a funny thing."

I got to say the Ocean's trilogy really took the cake. The amount of people is a lot, but with their individuality perks, characters, and as well as how they executed everything made me fell in love with the series. I like how Danny and Rusty get along with each other like real brothers. It's amusing to watch them, and the reason I'm borrowing their characters  :)

Hustle (UK TV Series)

"Never give the sucker an even break."

This one took my attention as I was searching for a right sort of information what it really means to be a con artist/grifter. Even though it's aired in the UK, I managed to watch some of the episodes that were on Youtube. I got to say how they portrayed it was excellent and the details were marvelous. An amazing series that many don't try to look for. Unlike its American counter-part, Leverage, I'd go for this one because it's all about mind tricks. Hearing British sarcasm and cursing is just a bonus. lol.

Casino Jack (2010)

"In Greed We Trust."

While not exactly in the world of thieves, Casino Jack tells a story of a man named Jack who is a Lobbyist but at the same time a hustler/con artist. The difference in this movie is he plays more of an elite role, different to the thieves who steal... he only uses persuasion, coercion, bribing and often blackmailing to get what he wants; and that's at government level and in the parliament. This movie was nominated for a Golden Globe Award.

You could always find my sorts of inspiration everywhere. ;)

Well, there goes another post.

Later guys,
